The agreement between you and BareVows.
By using barevows.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
BareVows is an informational directory of marriage license requirements and wedding officiants. We aggregate publicly available information from state statutes and county websites, and we list officiants who apply to be included.
BareVows is not legal advice. Marriage laws change, and county clerk offices occasionally update requirements. Before you apply for a marriage license, verify the requirements with the county clerk directly. We link to the official county site on every county page for this reason.
BareVows does not officiate weddings or guarantee the services of any officiant listed on the site. Officiants are independent contractors, not employees or agents of BareVows.
We verify the information on every county page against state statute and the official county website, and we note the last verification date. Still, we can't guarantee 100% accuracy at all times. If you find an error, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it.
Officiants listed on BareVows have represented themselves as licensed or legally able to perform marriage ceremonies in the states where they're listed. BareVows does not independently license officiants or confirm their legal standing. Couples are responsible for verifying that their chosen officiant is legally able to officiate the marriage in their jurisdiction.
Don't misuse the site. That means: no scraping en masse without permission, no sending harassing messages to officiants through contact forms, no impersonating anyone, no uploading malicious content.
BareVows provides information "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, SchwaWorks LLC is not liable for damages resulting from your use of this site — including, but not limited to, reliance on information about marriage license requirements or officiant services.
We may update these terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States.
